High-Rejection Standard (High Purity)

  • The “7” series stands for: Standard Brackish Water High-Purity.

  • Primary Difference: This is a “tighter” membrane. It requires much higher pressure (usually 225 PSI) to operate, but it produces much cleaner water with a higher salt rejection rate.

  • Best For: Systems where water quality (Low TDS) is more important than electricity savings.

  • Risk of Switching: If you replace this with a “G” series (Low Pressure), the water will move too fast, and your salt rejection will drop, resulting in lower-quality water.

  • legacy Toray membranes are kept in stock specifically for older industrial systems that require exact matching of original flow specifications. While modern “D-Series” membranes are more efficient, these “Obsolete” models are often necessary for systems with fixed-speed pumps or specific pressure-drop requirements that cannot easily be re-calibrated.

    Uses & Applications:

    • Legacy System Repairs: Direct replacement for systems built between 2010–2020.

    • Specific Pump Matching: For systems where modern high-flux membranes might cause pump cavitation.

    Benefits:

    • Proven Compatibility: Eliminates the need for system re-engineering.

    • 28-mil Feed Spacer: Features the original wider feed spacer for better handling of high-turbidity water.

    Size & Dimensions:

    • Capacity: ~8,000–10,000 GPD

    • Length: 1016 mm (40″)

    • Diameter: 201 mm (8″)

    • Weight: ~15.00 kg

    • Housing: Requires 8040 Industrial Pressure Vessel.
