Description

•  A cylindrical inline cartridge, often used as the last polishing filter after RO.

• Filter Media Inside:

  • Activated Carbon (usually Coconut Shell GAC – Granular Activated Carbon).

  • Sometimes a blend of carbon block + mineral media depending on brand.

🔹 Function of the Media

1. Activated Carbon

   • Removes residual chlorine, chemicals, pesticides, VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

   • Improves taste and smell of water by removing bad odours.

   • Polishes the water after RO storage tank so the water tastes fresh.

2. Coconut Shell Carbon (most common)

   • Natural, eco-friendly carbon.

   • Gives water a “sweet” taste.

3. Optional Additives (some models)

   • Mineral media to add small amounts of calcium/magnesium back into RO water.

   • Silver-impregnated carbon (for antibacterial protection, though less common in T33).
